Faculty Art Exhibition-

Broward Community College

April 20- June 24, 2005: Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Sponsored by: Broward Community College District Board of Trustees

Curated by: Faculty member Jill Thompson

This interdisciplinary exhibition showcased works by nine BCC faculty members and represented creative expressions from anthropology to architecture. The pictures below are from the opening reception.

Artist's statement: "Although commonalities exist in all cultures, ages and sexes, everyone maintains individual identifying characteristics. Everyone is unique. My paintings often portray a subject matter of struggles and contemplations that all individuals experience. The paintings provide the viewer with an idea. The intent is for the participant to formulate their own specific personal memories and discoveries; hence, completing the piece of art. The viewer provides their own identity."

Works exhibited: "Introspection", 2003; "Victim of One's Own Objectives, 2004"; "Caught Between Faces of Reality, 2004".
